The terminal is designed for use within an Inline station. It can be used to integrate a lower-level PROFIBUS system into the Inline station and therefore into the bus system used. Within the Inline station, the terminal acts as a PROFIBUS master for the lower-level PROFIBUS system or as a PROFIBUS slave for a higher-level PROFIBUS system. As a PROFIBUS master, the terminal can be used to integrate standard-compliant PROFIBUS slaves into all INTERBUS or PROFINET-based controllers from Phoenix Contact. As a PROFIBUS slave, the terminal can be used to integrate a Phoenix Contact controller into any PROFIBUS-based systems (gateway). The terminal is designed for use within an Inline station. It is used to acquire signals from resistive temperature sensors. The terminal supports all common platinum and nickel sensors according to DIN EN 60751 and SAMA. Cu10, Cu50, and Cu53 sensors as well as KTY81 and KTY84 sensors are also supported. The measuring temperature is represented by 16-bit values in two process data words (one word per channel).

The terminal is designed for use within an Inline station. This terminal is a fast input module used to connect load cells, force transducers, mass pressure transducers, and similar devices based on strain gauges. The strain gauges can be connected using 6- or 4-conductor technology. The strain gauge output signals are measured in each bus cycle and updated in the process data (bus-synchronous process data update). The terminal is suitable for control applications with increased speed requirements.
